CAPPADONNA

Interview by Troy Alexander

Cappadonna you have some new projects tell us about them?
Yo im out here man, im in the sweat lodge right now im trying to pound out some more of these joints right here you know. I got the Cappatilize Project, I got the Greatest Dartz  ever sold VOL 1. mixtape,  you know what im sayin Iron Shiek, Iron Chamber, The betterlife Movement Mix CD, I got the the Cappadonna Struggle DVD, I got a thousand projects man, Betterlife Movement, Street Flavor, Wu South, Yo i got it all in my shopping mall man www.cappadon.com www.truegrind.com www.ironchamber.com

.  .
The Wu Tang Clan joined together for a National tour. The fans have been waiting years for that, how was that tour?

That tour right there was sold out every place we went, we smashed it up. We did all of the greatest songs we got it was nothin man, everybody kept cheering asking for another Wu Album, Wu Album, please bring it, bring it bring it and im like yea yea it's coming.

You have had a lot of success in your career Gold Records, you mentioned before at the beginning your record deal wasn't the best, tell us about that?

It aint nothin man you know what im sayin its like riding a bike man u gotta take a couple of falls and all that before you learn how to pedal back. So those falls is necessary in every game in every struggle to help you get a little higher. I didn't know the business at
that time so you know it had a lot to do with promotions you know and how things are sold and distributed so i didn't go to the wells, but it caused me to look a little closer into what the f *ck I was doin..

The passing of O.D.B. effected many Rap Fans, how was your personal relationship with O.D.B.?
My personal relationship with O.D.B. is like we was kind of similar you know in a lot of ways because we was like the outcast, we had our own style, original flavor just do what we want, you know what im saying it aint always all complicated we deal with a lot of simplicities, we love the people, we love the children and the both of us had the a certain kind of love for Jesus man and right there is all praises due to Allah man. Our relationship was built upon, its like we both believe in good positive things man but you know we was also victims of the struggle.

You been in the game for a while how do you feel about the current state of the Rapscene?

I feel like the state of the Rapscene is in a state of emergency right now. Its like the human system, the body, its like when u eat something foul and u get an upset stomach you know what im sayin, you get a little virus. I feel like its a virus inside the rap game right now and i got to throw some cough syrup inside of there, but you know the kids don't like the taste unless i get cherry or strawberry or something or im gonna put it inside the koolaide of life and mix that in there so when I give them
my cough medicine everybody will be fulfilled with the flute and harp prurient strings.Yo 21 gun salute to the South, especially the South and Atlanta because that's where the struggle began.

Can we expect another Classic Wu Tang Clan Album?
Most Certainly man, its gonna always be Classic anything that we do from the Wu is Classic. I'ts just that being that were a movement that's against you know the various system projects that we don't really get the recognition we deserve. You know instead of that, they wanna exploit you know what im saying. The foul point is like how they do when viewing other Countries on TV.

What advice would you give Rap Fanatics trying to get into the game right now?
Id tell anybody trying to get in the game right now to take about Two years off. Take them two years off and go into studying music or studying contracts you know just study the foundation of music while they have time and then come back into
the game and that will give the advantage they need to proceed on.

Any Last Words?
